I wish I'd read this book when I was a teenager. I did not connect to Christianity as a teen, despite being raised in a Christian household. It didn't feel or seem real to me because I saw so much strife. If God was real, why were His people and His house so messy? I also heard people talk about having a personal relationship with Jesus but did not understand how that could be true. I didn't see Jesus. All I saw were broken people.
