Childlike faith is what Jesus preached. It’s not childish faith or what some call “blind” faith. To me, it is an eyes-wide-open wonder and a pure acceptance of God, and of pure belief that “what God said, He can do”—even if we have to grow to meet the challenge of receiving what we ask of Him.

-EV. Jesse Duplantis, “I Never Learned to Doubt: Lessons I’ve Learned about the Dangers of Doubt and the Freedom of Faith”

Why we love it: This book follows the faith journey of Evangelist Jesse Duplantis. Many things have been said about this man, but read about him for yourself. Don't listen to the slander! Evangelist Jesse writes about how his poverty-striken upbringing in Louisiana, away from traditional Christian thinking, helped him learn to take God at His Word.

When Ev. Jesse became a Christian, he was a well-known rock musician, alcoholic, and drug addict. He gave his life to Jesus in a hotel bathroom.

He didn't grow up speaking about faith with his lips but making secret contigency plans in his heart. He, literally, never learned to doubt God and the fruit of that is obvious.

Read this book if you're looking for a practical book about faith from a man who speaks plainly. It will delight you.
